Time codes are configured for each user from a global list. System users or their managers can change which codes they record time against. Each user sees a subset of the time codes that relate to their scope within the business.
A "tree" structure is used to define time codes and to select codes when recording. Different colours can be used to represent different areas of a business or different functions. "Tree branches" are also used to represent different areas of a business and provide project and release structures for time recording for software developers.
